STGuru Web Site Edition (STGS) is an ActiveX component edition of STGuru. It's designed to be used by web masters to realize real-time transfer between Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese at professional quality for a web site.
Programming interfaces are provided so users can transfer Chinese characters between any two codes within follow 5 major code types. Professional quality word adjustments are supported for all these transfers:
1) GBK Simplified Chinese
2) Big5 Traditional Chinese
3) GBK Traditional Chinese
4) Unicode Simplified Chinese
5) Unicode Traditional Chinese
STGS uses the data and configuration prepared directly by STGuru to realize professional quality word adjustment. So its transfer quality is just the same as that of STGuru. At the same time, it has optimized itself so its transfer speed was tuned up to satisfy the requirements for web users.
The demo version supports all transfer methods. But you can only transfer from or to a small Chinese character set (basic punctuations, and about 3755 most basic Chinese characters - National Standard Level-1 basic Chinese characters). There is no such limit in the full edition.
Two licenses are provided for STGS:
1) Standard License (or 50-year license) - you can use and update it free of charge for 50 years.
2) Simplified License (or 2-year license) - you can use and update it free of charge for 2 years. STGS Demo Edition is licensed as shareware, the cost of the registered verison is $125 and full size of the download is 1.19 MB.
